Manjula Chikhaliya: Originally from the quaint village of 'Kalavad', set out with a resolute vision to create an impactful change. She initiated the Kruti Khakhra Gruh Udhyog, collaborating with 10 local women. Manjula was the driving force behind every aspect of the business, from procuring raw materials to training the women and marketing their Khakhra. Her distinctively flavored khakhra, infused with immunity-boosting ingredients, quickly gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Manjula's journey from delivering these khakhras door-to-door on her scooty to gaining recognition from the Government of Gujarat marks an impressive trajectory over her 12-year journey in khakhra production. When asked about her future aspirations, she expresses an ambitious outlook, stating, "Up to this point, I was merely running; now, it's time for me to soar!"
Annapurna Khetiya: Whose name fittingly reflects her culinary talent, hails from the famous kachori hub of Jamnagar. A skilled cook and a proactive member of her village organization, Annapurna was inspired by her family's encouragement to establish the Riddhi Siddhi Sakhi Mandal. Here, she began crafting her delectable kachoris, including varieties like dry fruit and regular kachori. Her reputation for quality quickly spread, leading to her supplying prestigious stores across Saurashtra and fulfilling substantial bulk orders for various events. Known for her kindness, humility, and soft-spoken nature, Annapurna is committed to delighting her customers, one kachori at a time, continually striving for excellence in her culinary offerings.
Karishma Adawade
WholesomeBasket is the brainchild of Marketing postgraduate Mrs. Karishma Adawade and her husband. She decided to build a brand around wholesome snacking which would not contain any added flavours, preservatives and would be as organic as possible - an effort she felt could give back to society Keeping healthy food in mind, they create convenient wholesome healthy snacks which can be stored. In their journey they employed local women and after years of working together now they are one big family. Karishma is determined to provide healthy snacking options which will also help combat nutrition deficiencies in our regular diet.
